Smart Home Hub

The Only Board That Speaks Every Protocol

WiFi 6 + Bluetooth 5.3 + Zigbee + Thread + Matter โ€” all native, all simultaneous. No dongles. No Pi. No separate coordinators. Kypros is a complete smart home hub on a single board.

What you can build

  • Matter Thread Border RouterBridge your Thread mesh network to WiFi/Ethernet. Currently requires a ยฃ50+ dedicated device. Kypros does it while running your application.
  • Zigbee CoordinatorControl up to 200+ Zigbee devices directly. Replace your Zigbee USB dongle and its host computer.
  • Home Assistant Edge NodeRun sensor fusion, automation logic, and protocol bridging locally. No cloud, no latency.
  • Voice-Controlled HubCombine the 80kHz MEMS mic with keyword spotting to create wake-word activated smart home control.
  • Multi-Protocol GatewayTranslate between Zigbee sensors, Thread actuators, WiFi dashboards, and Bluetooth wearables simultaneously.
Why Kypros wins: No other Arduino board has WiFi + Bluetooth + 802.15.4 on the same board. The ESP32-C6 has 802.15.4 but only WiFi 4 and no Ethernet. Kypros has all three radios PLUS Gigabit Ethernet for wired backbone connectivity.

What you can build

  • Autonomous RobotM7 processes camera feed (CSI) for obstacle detection while M4 handles real-time motor PWM and encoder feedback. No separate motor controller board needed.
  • Drone Flight ControllerCAN-FD for ESC communication, M4 for stabilisation loops at 1kHz+, M7 for waypoint navigation and telemetry over WiFi 6.
  • Robotic Arm ControllerControl up to 4 motors simultaneously. Add camera for visual servo control. NXP has proven this on RT1176.
  • AGV / AMR ControllerGigabit Ethernet for fleet management, WiFi 6 for wireless control, CAN-FD for motor drives, CSI camera for line following or SLAM.
  • Swarm Robotics802.15.4 mesh networking (Thread) for robot-to-robot communication with sub-10ms latency. WiFi for cloud telemetry.
Why Kypros wins: Dual-core with hardware-isolated real-time (M4) means your motor control never stutters, even when M7 is running neural networks. NXP has demonstrated controlling 4 motors + GUI + networking on a single RT1176.
๐Ÿš

Drones & UAV Systems

The Brain Your Drone Deserves.

Most flight controllers run a single-core 200MHz processor. WiFi 6 + Bluetooth 5.3 + 802.15.4 + Gigabit Ethernet. Camera input. HDMI out. Battery-native.

What you can build

  • Custom Flight ControllerM4 runs PID stabilisation loops at 1kHz+ with zero jitter. M7 runs waypoint planning, obstacle avoidance, and telemetry over WiFi 6.
  • AI-Guided DroneCSI camera feeds M7 running person detection, line following, or landmark recognition. Drone autonomously navigates without GPS.
  • FPV Video TransmitterCSI camera captures feed, WiFi 6 streams 1080p to a ground station with sub-10ms latency. No separate video transmitter needed.
  • Swarm Coordinator802.15.4 Thread mesh for drone-to-drone communication. Coordinate formation flight over a self-healing mesh network.

๐ŸŽจ

Graphics & User Interface

A GPU on a Microcontroller

The RT1176 includes a dedicated 2D vector graphics GPU (VGLite) running at 500 MHz, plus a Pixel Processing Pipeline (PXP) for image scaling, rotation, and colour conversion. This isn't software rendering โ€” it's hardware acceleration.

What you can build

  • Touch HMI PanelLVGL + VGLite GPU for smooth 60fps interfaces on MIPI displays. Swipe, scroll, animate โ€” smartphone-like UX on a microcontroller.
  • Car Dashboard ClusterHardware-rendered gauges, smooth needle animation, CAN-FD data input. NXP has a ready-made demo.
  • Smart ThermostatBeautiful animated UI on a small MIPI display, WiFi for remote control, 802.15.4 for sensor mesh, battery backup.

  • Animated Logo/Brand DisplayVector graphics GPU renders your brand's animated logo on any HDMI screen. For retail, trade shows, or reception areas.
Why Kypros wins: The VGLite GPU at 500 MHz delivers graphics performance that normally requires a Linux SBC. But Kypros boots instantly, never crashes, and runs deterministically. No OS to corrupt. No kernel to crash.
๐Ÿ”Š

๐Ÿ”Œ

SD Expansion Modules

One Slot. Swap the Radio.

The MicroSD slot runs SDIO protocol โ€” the same interface used by WiFi chips inside laptops. Plug in a Kypros SD Expansion Module instead of a storage card, and you instantly gain a radio that Kypros doesn't have natively. It's a trade-off (storage vs radio) โ€” and it's your choice.

Kypros SD Expansion Series (planned accessories)

  • Kypros SD-GPSu-blox M10 GNSS chip. Plug in, get accurate positioning in under 30 seconds. For asset tracking, geofencing, mapping, precision agriculture.
  • Kypros SD-LoRaSemtech SX1276. 20km range IoT connectivity. Send sensor data to a gateway kilometres away. LoRaWAN compatible.
  • Kypros SD-CellSIM7600G 4G LTE + NB-IoT. Full cellular fallback when WiFi isn't available. For field deployments, vehicles, remote locations.
  • Kypros SD-CANMCP2518FD CAN-FD controller. Extra CAN-FD port for complex automotive or industrial applications needing more than one bus.
Why this matters: Kypros already has WiFi 6 + BT + 802.15.4 + Gigabit Ethernet. The SD modules add radios it doesn't have natively โ€” without changing the board or adding a separate shield.

One board.
Everything.

"Kypros isn't a board that does one thing well. It's a board that does everything well โ€” at the same time. Other boards make you choose: WiFi or Ethernet. Display or camera. Audio or sensors. Battery or performance. Kypros doesn't ask you to choose."

Founder โ€” Aventen Innovations

THE PERSON BEHIND THE BOARD

16 years old.
2 years building.
No investors. No backing.

Valentino started Aventen Innovations at 14 โ€” no investors, no engineering degree, no industry connections. Just a laptop, a copy of KiCad, and the conviction that every dev board on the market was leaving too much on the table.

Kypros wasn't born in a university lab or a corporate R&D department. It was born out of frustration โ€” frustration that every board makes you choose between connectivity, audio, sensors, or performance. Why not all of them?

Valentino started designing the Kypros at 14. Two years of late nights โ€” learning PCB design from scratch, sourcing components, negotiating with distributors, and leading the project from concept to hardware. No investors. No engineering degree. No corporate backing. Just a vision that the embedded industry was moving too slowly โ€” and the stubbornness to do something about it.

"I didn't wait for permission. I just started designing."
